This is my take on this month’s challenge at Scrapbookit.   The challenge was to use

1.Friends 2. Create with a COLOUR that you DON’T normally use/or like. 3. Use diecut’s on your project. 4. Use stamping.   As soon as I saw the colour component I knew I had to use purple.   It’s a colour I really struggle with.   From there it was a no brainer that I would srcap a photo of my brother who always wears purple.   I diecut some film strips and did some background stamping as well as stamping part of my title, (something I haven’t done in a long time).   tfl

Well hello there

My take on this month’s challenge at Kraft +

Current Challenge

well hello there

I’m so with Paula Perry – no problems finding old stuff!   I’ve used OLD stickers, rubble, gesso, leaf die (probably one of my very first), flair & mesh.   I’ve also used some chipboard and some washi tape I’ve had in my stash for ages and never used making them both OLD & NEW!   I’ve also used some NEW Vivid Ultra metallics in Tanzonite.   I journalled about when a chameleon landed on my brother-in-law’s ear.   I’m tipping that would be a NEW experience for just about everybody!   I was going to borrow some of my son’s leggo to use as a stamp however the thought of rummaging through all the junk in the garage at 5am to find the plastic tub was too daunting so instead I BORROWED an  idea from Lizzy Crust and went the kitchen where I BORROWED the lid of a teapot to do some stamping (mostly covered up) and because I had to use my mesh grippy thingey to get the lid off my OLD gesso I used that too.   First my pressing it into a smear of gesso to create some texture and then turning it upside down and stamping with it.    For the BLUE I’ve used Colour Blast paste in just blue and the rubble to highlight the blue in my photo.
